This guide takes a Brazilian timber exporter through a WoodFlow EUDR shipment from start to finish (EUDR is the European Union Deforestation Regulation). Each step says what it records and links to the article with the detail. WoodFlow EUDR uses the same OriginsNext screens as every other ecosystem, and most steps start from a tile on the Home screen.
The steps in order
Follow the steps in this order. You can come back to any step later, for example to add a forest or a document.
Start from the Home screen. The Home tiles are the starting points for orders and EUDR reports, suppliers and their forests, buyers, missing evidence and products. See What can I do from the WoodFlow EUDR home screen?
Add your supplier and their forests. This records the supplier by its CNPJ, each forest as a Location with its CAR or GeoJSON boundary, and the evidence you provide on the supplier's Required evidence tab. See How do I add a supplier and their forests?
Add your EU buyer. This records the buyer as a Participant you can select on the Order, and the contacts you notify when you share. See How do I add an EU buyer?
Create the EUDR Order Report. This records the shipment: the buyer, sales order ID, order date, departure and destination, product type and quantity, and optionally the B/L number and invoice number that appear on the report. See How do I create a new EUDR Order Report?
Record the harvest and chain of custody. This records the mill that processed the timber, what it produced, the forests the logs came from, the quantity and the purchase invoice for each batch. See How do I record the harvest and chain of custody for an EUDR Order?
Check what the Brazil Wood EUDR Report asks for. The report groups what it asks for, and each item attaches to your organisation, the supplier, a forest, a product or the Order. It is a pre-configured starting point that you check against your own circumstances. See What does the Brazil Wood EUDR Report ask for?
Complete the EUDR requirements. On the Order's Compliance tab you provide the documents, add the forest boundaries, run the deforestation assessment and generate the report. See How do I complete the EUDR requirements on an Order?
Share the report with your EU buyer. This shares the Order and its report with the buyer on the platform, notifies their contacts and shows whether they have opened it. You can start from Share on the report card or from the Order's Sharing tab: both open the same Share order panel, where you pick the buyer. See How do I share the EUDR report with my EU buyer?
Note: A report can be generated while some requirements are still outstanding, and optional items can be left unmet. When the Order is complete is your decision.
What your buyer sees
Your EU buyer opens the shared Order in OriginsNext and sees what you chose to share. When they open it, you can see that it was viewed.
For the buyer's view, see How do I view an EUDR Order a supplier has shared with me?
