The Brazil Wood EUDR Report is a pre-configured report template for timber from Brazil in WoodFlow EUDR (EUDR is the EU Deforestation Regulation). If it is pre-configured for an Order's origin country and commodity (HS code), it appears automatically on the Order's Compliance tab, with its supporting requirements arranged in ten numbered groups. If not, you can add requirements yourself. The template is a starting point: you decide whether it fits your circumstances, and you can change the requirements on the Order.
Where to see the report's requirements
Open the Order and go to its Compliance tab. Under Order compliance requirements you see:
A Brazil Wood EUDR Report card with its status and a count of the required supporting requirements that are complete, for example 2/31.
The supporting requirements, headed with how many are optional, for example Supporting requirements · 16 optional. Click Hide to collapse them.
The All, Incomplete and Required chips and a search box, to narrow the list.
Each requirement shows how many of the items it applies to are complete, for example 0 out of 1 locations complete, and an Optional badge where it is optional.
What each requirement attaches to
Every supporting requirement attaches to one of four things. This tells you where the evidence is recorded and, usually, who holds it:
Attaches to | What the count shows | Who usually provides it |
Location | One item for each origin Location, usually a forest the timber was harvested from, for example 0 out of 1 locations complete. | The supplier that owns or manages the forest, or your organisation if you hold the document. |
Participant | One item for each organisation the requirement applies to, for example 1 out of 2 participants complete. | Each organisation for its own documents, for example your organisation and your supplier. |
Product | One item for each product on the Order, for example 0 out of 1 products complete. | Usually your organisation, for example the purchase invoice for the raw material. |
Order | A document for the shipment itself, shown as 0/1 or 1/1. | Usually your organisation, for example the bill of lading or the export invoice. |
Note: On an Order, evidence counts towards a requirement only if your organisation filed it or it was shared with you. So a supplier's evidence counts once the supplier shares it with you, or once you file it yourself.
The ten groups
The template arranges its supporting requirements in ten numbered groups. The table below lists the requirements seen in the template on a sample Order. The list on your Order can differ if the template changes or you change the requirements.
Group | Requirements | Attaches to |
01 Deforestation | Deforestation-free Declaration, Production Area Boundary, Previous Land Use Declaration (optional) | Each origin Location (forest) |
02 Degradation | Post-harvest Forest Management Report (optional) | Each origin Location (forest) |
03 Land tenure | Property Title Certificate (optional), Land Use Agreement (optional), Rural Property Registration Certificate | Each origin Location (forest) |
04 Environmental | Environmental Registry Statement, Property Embargo Clearance, Site Operating Licence (optional), Company Environmental Registration Certificate (optional), Company Enforcement Record, Municipal Operating Permit (optional) | The first three: each origin Location (forest). The last three: each organisation it applies to. |
05 Harvest | Planted Forest Harvest Authorisation, Native Forest Exploitation Authorisation (optional), Federal Technical Register Certificate (optional) | The two authorisations: each origin Location (forest). The certificate: each organisation it applies to. |
06 Third party rights | Third Party Rights Overlap Declaration | Each origin Location (forest) |
07 Labour | Labour Debt Clearance Certificate, Housing Fund Compliance Certificate, Labour Infraction Certificate, Forced Labour Register Screen, Contractor List with Certificates, Employment Records, Risk Management Programme, Occupational Health Programme, Internal Accident Prevention Commission (optional), Rural Work Safety Training, Collective Bargaining Agreement (optional) | Each organisation it applies to |
08 Tax and standing | Federal Tax Clearance Certificate, State Tax Clearance Certificate, Municipal Tax Clearance Certificate, Company Registration Card, State Tax Registration, Constitutive Document, Debarment Register Consultation, Foreign Trade Authorisation (optional), Rural Land Tax Receipt | Rural Land Tax Receipt: each origin Location (forest). The others: each organisation they apply to. |
09 Traceability | Raw Material Purchase Invoice, Sales Invoice, Export Invoice, Forest Origin Document (optional), Forest Transport Permit (optional), Packing List, Bill of Lading, Single Export Declaration | Raw Material Purchase Invoice: each product. The others: the Order itself. |
10 Certification | FSC Chain of Custody Certificate (optional), PEFC Chain of Custody Certificate (optional), Management System Certificate (optional), Industry Association Membership (optional) | Each organisation it applies to |
In group 01, a deforestation requirement on a forest can include an assessment that you start from the Compliance tab with Start assessment. The assessment needs the forest Location's main boundary.
Optional items, statuses and completing the report
Requirements marked Optional can be left unmet. You can generate the report with Generate Brazil Wood EUDR Report while items are still outstanding, and whether the Order is Complete is your decision.
Important: In the generated report, each supporting requirement shows a status such as Non-compliant, Partially compliant or Fully compliant. These are the platform's own check labels: they show whether the evidence the template asks for is in place for each item. They are not a legal or regulatory verdict on your timber or your due diligence.
Changing the requirements
If the template does not fit an Order, click Edit next to Order compliance requirements to add or remove requirements on that Order. For requirements you need again and again, you can set up your own Order template in Order Compliance > Order Templates.
For adding and changing requirements, see How do I add compliance requirements to an Order? For what the evidence statuses mean, see What do the Evidence status labels mean?
